Why it matters

Why this hand matters

Many women have real talent in cooking, stitching, craft, teaching or caring for others, but no path to turn it into a steady income.

Financial independence changes how a woman is heard at home and in society. It is one of the strongest forms of empowerment we know.

Please note: We never promise jobs or income, and we never ask anyone for money for a job or a loan. Be careful of anyone who does.

Our aims

What we want to do

  • Skill workshops: tailoring, handicrafts, food processing, beauty and wellness, and computer skills
  • Help to start and grow small businesses: pricing, selling and simple bookkeeping
  • Digital and financial literacy: bank accounts, safe UPI use and saving
  • Information on government schemes and loans for women entrepreneurs, from official sources
  • Showcasing women-made products at local fairs and events

These are our aims. As each one happens, we will share it here with real photos.

Step by step

How it works

  1. 1

A short interest form first, so we teach what women actually want.

  2. 2

    Hands-on workshops in small groups.

  3. 3

Confidence and money skills alongside the trade.

  4. 4

After the workshop: follow-up circles, pointers to government skill centres and self-help groups, and a place at local fairs.

Questions people ask

Frequently asked questions

Which skill is best for women?
The best skill is one that matches a woman's interests and the demand around her. Skills that often lead to steady income include tailoring and fashion, beauty and wellness, food processing and catering, handicrafts, computer and digital skills, teaching and tuition, and caregiving. Basic money skills, such as simple bookkeeping and safe digital payments, help with all of them. Start with one skill and build on it.
