Who we are

Dashapraharanadharini (দশপ্রহরণধারিণী) is a women's organisation for social work in Kolkata. You can reach us at care@dashapraharanadharini.cc.

What we collect

Only what you choose to give us through our forms or by email: your name, email address, and, if you add them, your phone number, area in Kolkata, profession or organisation, the areas you want to help with, and your message.

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Why we use it

• To reply to you.
• To organise volunteering, membership, partnerships and events you have asked to be part of.
• To tell you about our work, if you have asked us to keep you informed.

We use your details only for these purposes, and only with your consent, which you give by ticking the consent box on our forms.

Who we share it with

We never sell your details. We share them only with the services that run our website and email, and with a partner only when you have asked us to connect you with them.

Children and young people

Anyone under 18 may take part only with the consent of a parent or guardian. Our forms ask for this confirmation.

Photos and stories

• We photograph or name people only with their written consent, and for children, their parent's or guardian's consent.
• We never identify anyone in a health, hardship or violence context.
• Photos marked “Representative image” are licensed stock photos. They do not show our members, the people we help, or our work.

How long we keep it

We keep your details only while we need them for the purposes above, or until you ask us to delete them.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to show you the details we hold about you, correct them, delete them, or stop using them by withdrawing your consent. Just write to care@dashapraharanadharini.cc. If you have a complaint about how we handled your data, write to the same address and we will respond.

Changes

If we change this note, we will update the date at the top of this page.
